Fendt Leads German Tractors over 50Hp

With a market share of 21.1 percent (19.8 percent in the previous year) in 2013, Fendt takes the top place in the registration statistics of the German Division of Motor Vehicles for tractors over 50 hp in Germany.

Despite the overall slightly declining market trend (minus 1.7 percent), Fendt recorded 6,261 new registrations over 50 hp and was able to sell the most tractors on the German market.

In the professional performance segment over 50 hp, the most new tractors registered on the German market were from the Fendt brand in 2013.

Fendt achieves a market share of 35.5 percent for tractors over 200 hp
Fendt also takes a clear leading position on the German market for tractors over 200 hp. With a market share of 35.5 percent, the tractor manufacturer from Marktoberdorf, Germany, lies 13.3 percentage points ahead of the second placed manufacturer in the registration statistics. Moreover, Fendt also clearly leads the field for new registrations in the classes below: With a 29.6 percent market share (3,536 units) for tractors over 150 hp, Fendt recorded a 5.7 percent increase over the prior year.

The agricultural equipment manufacturer also confirmed its market leadership for tractors in the performance class over 100 hp with a 26.3 percent market share, a 3.6 percent margin to the second placed manufacturer, and recorded a total of 5,010 newly registered tractors – 193 more than in the prior year. The same applies to tractors 60 hp and up: Fendt further expanded its market leadership through an increase in market share by 1.5 percentage points to 21.7 percent, and registered a total of 6,261 new tractors, 285 more than in the prior year.
