Fendt Helps Farmers Affected By Flooding

The flood of the century 2013 caused considerable damage to farmers in the flooded regions of Europe. According to current estimations, approximately 18,000 farms have been affected and more than 150,000 hectares of agricultural land was flooded.

Buildings, fodder stocks and also machinery were damaged. The agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO/Fendt would therefore like to aid the affected farmers with special financing.

The German Farmers' Association estimates the farmers’ damage at about 430 million euros. “As an agricultural equipment manufacturer, we would like to aid the affected farmers through special financing,” said Peter-Josef Paffen, Chairman of the AGCO/Fendt Management Board, explaining the aid for flood victims.

“We would like to help both the farmers, who already have an existing financing with us, as well as those, who now need to invest in new Fendt products,” said Peter-Josef Paffen.

“Here we can help with the suspension of interest for existing Fendt machines as well as with special financing for new purchases,” explained Paffen.

In order to provide financial support without bureaucratic red tape, a payment break at the beginning of the contract and an interest rate at the level of the standard table are possible in all periods.

Farmers can receive concrete details on the AGCO/Fendt aid programme through their local Fendt dealer. The aid programme can reach the amount of 100,000 to 150,000 euros.
