World Championships Develop Ploughing
The World Championships in ploughing will be held in Denmark 3rd - 4th October, 2015.
60 participants and 8,000 visitors will make the event a festive occasion that will enhance the level of both professionalism and of technology. Kongskilde Industries A/S is the gold sponsor and will use the opportunity to hold a pre-release of a new generation of ploughs.
Kongskilde
His Royal Highness Prince Joachim will open the World Championships, where participants from Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will compete for the prestigious World Champion titles. The participants will compete in the categories of standard plough and reversible plough, and the goal is to provide the best seedbed.
The strong interest reflects a growing recognition that ploughing provides the best basis for a good seedbed. Ploughing is a very effective method to combat stubborn and resistant weeds, and it is a good economic alternative to other processing methods.
- As a manufacturer of earthmoving solutions, we want to bring about a greater focus on the benefits of ploughing, says Ole Gade, CEO of Kongskilde Industries A/S. Therefore, we are proud to be a gold sponsor of the event. It's a natural role for us as the market leader in the field.
Kongskilde will use the opportunity to introduce their largest investment in ploughing technology for many years: the XLD ploughbody. It is designed with an extra wide furrow for wide tires and deep ploughing in difficult soil down to 35 cm. The wider furrow increases productivity by up to 10%, while also reducing fuel consumption per hectare.
For us, it is the perfect event at which to hold the pre-release of our new generation of ploughs, which otherwise will not be exhibited until Agritechnica. We look forward to seeing the customers' reactions, says Ole Gade, CEO of Kongskilde.
Specifically, the new plough concept will be exhibited and demonstrated
for the trade press on a one hectare area in the immediate vicinity
of the fields where the ploughing competitions will be held.
