German Machinery Manufacturer Fliegl looking for UK Dealers

German farm equipment manufacturer Fliegl – best known for its manure and slurry machinery and push-off trailers – is looking to expand its network of dealers in the UK.

Previously the company has dealt with just a handful of select individuals or farmers have approached them directly. But with the opening of a new factory in Lincolnshire, Commercial Director Jose Viedma said they now wanted to establish a dedicated dealer network.

“The new factory represents a significant investment,” he said. “To support that commitment we need a distribution network that will allow us to capture the significant potential that exists for Fliegl within the UK.

“We want to work with people that share our enthusiasm and expertise - professional dealers who have a long and trusted track record, many of which, like ourselves, are highly-regarded family-owned businesses.”

Mr Viedma said a larger network of dealers would also ensure that customers were receiving a first class service.

“Quite rightly our customers expect only the very highest standards,” he said. “The best way to ensure that is to use as many local dealers as possible. They live in the area, they know their customers and they know what they need. We will be able to adapt to individuals’ needs and ensure that we cater for what they want.”

Dealers are wanted not just for Fliegl’s conventional tipping and ‘push-off’ trailers but also for its range of products for the renewable energy industry – particularly around biomass and biogas plants.

Mr Viedma added: “We believe this will provide significant opportunities for all those involved and would welcome the chance to talk to those who might be interested in finding out more.”

The Fliegl Group is Europe’s largest producer of agricultural and industrial trailers – offering high quality, innovative and practical solutions to suit any need. Based in the Bavarian town of Muhldorf am Inn near Munich in Germany, the family-owned group was started in 1975 by Josef Fliegl and sets an emphasis on research and development. Its state of the art headquarters includes four assembly lines for tippers, biogas installations, liquid manure tanks and the patented Fliegl ‘push-off’ technology. The group – now run by Josef’s five children - employs more than 900 people and exports to all continents. As well as agriculture it also offers solutions for the transport, construction, forestry and energy industries and produces truck trailers and semi trailers. The UK headquarters was opened at Frampton Fen in Lincolnshire in August 2015. Along with conventional tipping trailers and the Fliegl ‘push-off’ trailer, the factory will maufacture products for the UK renewables market, including AD feeders and grain dryers.
