Pearsons Farm Supplies Open Day a Runaway Success

Pearsons Farm Supplies’ open day at its Stainton House Farm base in West Marton, near Skipton, proved a resounding success, with around 1,000 people turning up to help the company celebrate its milestone 10th anniversary.

“It was an amazing turnout – our hog roast proved particularly popular and the entire porker was consumed in double-quick time!” said managing director Chris Pearson.

“We would like to thank all who attended and contributed to the event. It was a really special and memorable day for us.”

The open day featured a celebrity guest speaker in North Wales hill farmer, Gareth Wyn Jones, star of the BBC TV programmes, ‘The Hill Farm’ and “The Farmer and the Food Chain.”

It also showcased Pearsons Farm Supplies’ wide-ranging products portfolio, along with supplier trade stands and a farming quiz with prizes.

Established in 2005, Pearsons Farm Supplies has expanded and diversified to become one of the largest independent agricultural merchants in the north, with a trading area taking in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria and North Wales.

The company also has a branch office in Angelsey, together with on-site presences at auction marts in Skipton, Gisburn, Bentham, Otley and St Asaph.

Pearson Farm Supplies continues to develop its premium range of own-label products, along with its own vitamin and mineral supplements.

“We are well placed to further grow the business,” added Mr Pearson.
