New Event to Maximise Farm Opportunities

Grandstand Stoneleigh Events is launching an innovative new Farm & Rural Business Event, dedicated to helping farmers make the most of their assets and grow their businesses.

The event, which will be held at the NAEC, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, on Wednesday 16th March 2016, will cover every aspect of successful rural businesses, from maximising farm efficiencies to identifying new opportunities and diversification ideas.

“The 2015 Oxford Farming Conference report called for an industry shift towards a more commercial attitude, encouraging farmers to seek greater business acumen,” says Alice Bell, Head of Technical Events at Grandstand Stoneleigh Events. “And the recent AHDB Outlook Conference called for UK farmers to raise the bar and become more competitive on both a domestic and global scale. This event is designed to help them do exactly that.”

Unique to the sector, Farm & Rural Business 2016 is all about driving success in rural and farming businesses, in whatever format that may take. “Whether you’re an arable or livestock farmer, diversified family business or aspiring rural entrepreneur you are sure to benefit from the ideas, advice and technology on offer,” says Miss Bell.

The event, which is being organised by the team behind the British Pig & Poultry Fair and Grassland & Muck Event, will be split into three focus areas: Business & Advice, Ideas & Opportunities and Technology & Innovations. With free entry to visitors, it will include business inspiration seminars, sector specific forums, a business health check and expert advice workshops.

Visitors will be able to see entrepreneurs pitching to investors in an Angel’s Den-style investment feature and visit the Ideas Exchange Café to connect with like-minded farmers to share ideas and advice. They can also see the latest technology designed to save time and money, from the newest apps to whole farm monitoring, enabling them to deliver efficiencies for more profitable businesses.

“Whether you are looking for the inspiration to turn an idea into reality, seeking opportunities to grow your business or require expert advice, Farm & Rural Business 2016 will help you to tackle the business issues that matter,” says Miss Bell. “Trade stand bookings are now open, so put the date in your diary and invest a day in your business.”
