British Charolais Cattle Society Launches Charolais Youth Programme
The British Charolais Cattle Society has launched Charolais Youth; a new club for youngsters aged between eight and 26 years who are either already involved with the breed or would like to find out more.
A wide ranging programme of activities is being scheduled featuring presentations and workshops hosted by pedigree and commercial Charolais herd owners. Topics will include cattle selection and preparation for shows and sales, nutrition, herd health, genetic evaluation. Plans also include staging joint events with other young breeders’ clubs.

Activities commence this month with a series of regional stock judging events, culminating in the national final at the National Charolais Show at the Livestock Event, staged at The NEC, Birmingham on Thursday 4 July.
Charolais Youth is a UK-wide initiative headed by national coordinator Katreen Millar, who is supported by nine regional coordinators.

commented:
“We would like to welcome anyone who is eligible, whether
they’re already involved with Charolais cattle or not, to come along,
share their knowledge and experience of the UK’s leading terminal sire
or discover more, and have fun with like-minded individuals.”
