Wilbert Mayne Joins Agrisearch Board

Co Fermanagh farmer Douglas Rowe had completed the maximum nine years voluntary service on the board. Thanking Douglas for his time, effort and ideas, AgriSearch Chairman James Campbell noted that his wide experience in representing farmers and serving as a Gurteen Agricultural College governor had been invaluable. When Douglas spoke on an issue his quiet, concise comments always took the debate forward.

New board member Wilbert Mayne previously chaired the UFU Legislation and Rural Development Committees, is currently vice chair of the union’s Environment Committee and also served on the UFU board.

Formed in 1977 AgriSearch gives beef, dairy and sheep farmers direct involvement in research of practical benefit to producers.
