RABDF appoints new Events Director

The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers has appointed Matthew Knight to the new position of Events Director with responsibility for the Livestock Event, as well as RABDF’s portfolio of farming events held throughout the year.

A former director of an international B2B event provider, he brings to the UK livestock sector’s leading event 12 years of event management experience together with specialist skills in launching new events and adding value to established brands.

“I’m looking forward to implementing my wide ranging skills and experience gained from working across a broad range of event formats to help further develop the Livestock Event,” he says. “I’m also excited to start working in the food and farming sector which represents over 13% of GDP and at a time when consumer perception of the industry is at an all-time high.”

RABDF chief executive, Nick Everington adds: “Matthew’s professional expertise and fresh new approach to event management will enhance our newly structured team which is continuing to build livestock farming’s leading business to business event staged at The NEC, the UK’s most modern, professional and easily accessible exhibition site.”
