Karen was joined at Carr House Farm by York-based Yorkshire Food Finder founders Sue and Aidan Nelson, who rank the award-winning accommodation among the UK’s top-ten farmhouse B&Bs.

“Both parties commented on how well they had slept and how comfortable the beds were. After a full cooked Yorkshire breakfast, Karen was up and about taking a ride on one of two new bicycles we have bought to celebrate Le Tour de France coming to Yorkshire in 2014,” said Anna Lupton, of Carr House Farm, also home to Cuckavalda Gundogs, run by her husband Jack Peckitt,

Karen said: “I found staying at Carr House Farm a truly special authentic Travel Therapy experience. I love the history of the farm and Anna welcomed me with open arms and went out of her way to make my stay special.

“There were so many extras - from the British bikes you can ride to explore the beautiful area, to the top quality Labradors being raised that you can take with you on a walk, to Anna's delicious cooking and some of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer!"

Karen has travelled to more than 60 countries in search of the most inspiring destinations. Her Travel Therapy TV and online series is featured on WPIX-TV, the CW Network flagship in New York City.

A sought after travel and lifestyle spokesperson and public speaker, Karen has more than 15 years of national and major market on-air TV experience. From 2009 to 2012, she hosted ABC’s national travel show, Travel Now, on ABC News Now.

Carr House Farm has introduced a special promotion around Yorkshire’s Grand Départ. Guests staying two or more nights have complimentary use of the traditional English-made Dawes bicycles.

“What’s more, if they are up to the journey, guests can take advantage of an exclusive meal deal we have arranged with Hunters of Helmsley delicatessen and Teahee, the cheesemonger and espresso bar in Easingwold,” explained Anna.
