With Holmer and Exxact branded machines, the Exel Industries Group now offers the largest range of sugar beet harvesters on the market, making the company the world leader on the sugar beet harvester market.

Holmer and Exel Industries also offer a potential for synergies and optimizing possibilities. “With their business philosophy, to lead and to position their companies as strong brands inside the group, Exel Industries is the ideal partner for Holmer. The affiliation to Exel Industries as a family led enterprise in the agricultural machinery section with a worldwide leading position in the precision-spreading-technology for plants and materials, was the right step for Holmer to ensure a successful future, explains Wolfgang Bergmann, Chief Executive Officer at Holmer.

Guerric Ballu, Chief Executive of Exel Industries, says of this new acquisition:

“We are very pleased to welcome Holmer into our Group. The strong awareness of the Holmer brand, the range of its distribution networks and the complementarity of its product offer, are significant assets for us in continuing to grow on the sugar beet harvester market and further strengthens our position with our farming customers. I'm delighted to be able to count on the commitment of the existing managing team and on the friendly support of Mr Alfonse Holmer, the founder and historical director of the Group which bears his name.

Holmer’s arrival within the Exel Industries Group will permit consolidation in the world sugar beet harvester market. This is why this acquisition fits perfectly with our strategy of maintaining profitable and sustainable growth in the long-term.”
