 The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward
                26 prime cattle, 3 young bulls, 18 OTM cattle, 3,497 prime lambs
                and 5,181 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown
              on Thursday 8th November, 2007. Prime cattle were short of requirements with trade firmer. Charolais
                heifers from T. Armstrong & Son, Sceughdyke sold to 130.5p
                to Woodhead Bros., others from the same to 127.5p, 125.5p and
                123.5p; Limousin 128.5p, 124.5p, 123.5p Wicket Thorn. Limousin
                bullocks to 127.5p from Nether Onsett, 118.5p The Gill; Charolais
              117.5p Smallholms. Young bulls to 104.5p and 103.5p for Limousins from Dumbretton. OTM’s were easier selling to 55.5p for a Limousin heifer
                from The Hagg. Limousin cows to 49.5p Nunscleugh; Angus 34.5p
                Kilnhill. With 3,497 prime lambs forward saw trade sharper on the week
                but good quality 38-46 kilo farm assured lambs were in short
                supply. The sale was topped at £43.20 for Texels from W.
                McConnell, Gass Farm, Glenluce and to 114p per kilo for Beltex
