Holstein Association USA Invites Attendees to Meet the Member of the Day at World Dairy Expo
23/09/05

At World Diary Expo, attendees can meet successful dairymen who use registered Holsteins. Holstein Association USA is running a "Guess the member of the Day" contest on their website at www.holsteinusa.com. If you guess correctly you'll win a Holstein USA jacket.

World Dairy Expo 2005 is just around the corner and Holstein Association USA, Inc. is inviting everyone who attends the expo to stop by their booth and meet the “Holstein Association Member of the Day” and get a free copy of the 2006 Holstein Association calendar.

Holstein Association Communications Manager, Lisa Perrin says they are excited to be featuring their own members as part of the exhibit this year to tell their own stories.

“These members are dairymen who have successfully used registered Holstein to improve their operation's bottom line and they're going to be available to talk to different attendees about their operations, their successes in their business and how registered Holsteins have made a difference in their life.”

The members who will be featured at the booth each day between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm are being introduced in a unique way on the Holstein Association website, www.holsteinusa.com. A contest to win a free Holstein Association jacket has been running since September 16 and concludes September 26. Each person who correctly guesses the identity of all five of the members of the day will be entered in a random drawing for a chance to win. Clues about the identity of each of the five featured members have been posted on the Association website and Perrin says visitors can enter the contest online.

“Starting September 26, we will be announcing one mystery member each day on our home page. When you visit our website you can read the bios on each of the member of the days as they are announced.”

There have been a number of entries, but Perrin says there have only been a few right answers so far.

“My advice is to read the clues carefully. They should really help you figure out who the members are if you read them carefully enough.”

Perrin says expo attendees will also get a chance to share their Holstein experience at the booth by filling out a testimonial detailing how Registered Holsteins have made a difference in their bottom line. Each day, a random drawing will be conducted from the completed testimonials for a free Holstein Association jacket.

Also new for this year's expo, the Holstein Association is one of the premier sponsors of the World Dairy Diary, the official blog of the World Dairy Expo, at www.wdexpo.org. The blog provides daily information, audio and pictures about the expo for both those who attend to keep track of activities and for those who are unable to attend to stay in touch via the internet.

The World Dairy Expo is being held October 4-8 at the Alliant Energy Center, Madison, WI.

Holstein Association USA, Inc., www.holsteinusa.com, provides products and services to dairy producers to enhance genetics and improve profitability-ranging from registry processing to identification programs to consulting services. The Association, headquartered in Brattleboro, Vt., maintains the records for Registered Holsteins and represents approximately 30,000 dairy farmers from across the United States. The Association is also leading the initiative for national animal identification through the National FAIR program.
