The largest ring of customers seen for some time was present from far and wide and they were presented with a magnificent show of cattle which saw a trade which can only be described as outstanding. Many cattle surpassed the £1050 barrier and 8 month old bullocks and heifers were making £800 - £950.

The pre sale show, which was kindly sponsored by John Warren ABP & Jamesons Feed, was ably judged by Andrew Scarborough, Driffield, who had a wonderful show of cattle put in front of him.

The overall Championship was awarded to a very classy 14 month old British Blue Heifer consigned by Messrs C R Raine & Son, Stanhope Gate.
