Animat Rubber Dairy Flooring Now Available in the UK
2010-05-25

Animat Interlock Rubber Flooring is used by dairy farmers worldwide to cover hard, slippery concrete floors with a safe, comfortable surface which mimics natural pasture.

Animat Rubber Dairy Flooring

Livestock equipment supplier Intershape has just been appointed their exclusive UK distributor. Made in Canada from 100% re-cycled rubber, Animat is North America’s best selling rubber dairy flooring offering high quality at a competitive price.

Intershape’s Managing Director, Paul Butland explains:

“Covering concrete with rubber flooring allows cows to move naturally and easily reducing falls, injuries, lameness and stress while improving locomotion scores and heat detection.

I was very impressed by the enthusiasm of farmers in both France and North America who have seen big reductions in lameness since installing this flooring. We are delighted to be offering a product of this quality to UK farmers.”

Animat rubber flooring is:

  • Comfortable. It absorbs shock and the textured surface is non-slip even when wet.
  • Easy to clean and disinfect. Non-porous so no liquid is absorbed, it can be used with all existing cleaning systems including sluicing systems with fixed or moveable scrapers and slatted floors.
  • Adaptable and easy to fit. Suitable for cubicle alleys, parlours, walkways and holding areas, the mats have interlocking on 1,2,3 or 4 sides for quick and secure fitting.
  • Durable. The matting is 18mm thick and can be driven over by tractors and feeder wagons without causing damage. It has a unique profile so the scraper does not run on the matting and a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty.

The mats are available in both standard widths and custom sizes. Flooring for rotary milking parlours and slatted areas can be made to order.
