With an entry forward of over 1600 sheep, buyers were able to be selective, with
stronger sheep achieving a positive trade whilst sheep which had seen a harder
summer sold at commercial prices.
With the on-going after effects of the harsh winter and dry summer still lurking,
there was much trepidation before the first Society sale of the season on Thursday
There was certainly a firm demand for quality sheep at the Lleyn Sheep Society
Annual Sale at Carlisle Mart on Thursday 21st September 2017.
The Lleyn sale at Ross on Wye included a few highlights which helped momentum
in the female section resulting in high clearance rates.
