These winners went through to the national final which was then judged by Mr Stephen Feehan from ABP.

The overall winner was the Fabian herd from Aberdeenshire owned by Mr and Mrs Thompson who were delighted to accept their trophy and prize money at the sale of British Blonde cattle at Carlisle on Friday 23rd October from Mr Feehan.

Mr McCloskey from Co. Londonderry, Northern Ireland crossed the water and were thrilled to take the reserve shield for his herd of Blonde sired cattle.

Mr McCloskey also received the cup that had been generously sponsored by Corby Rock Mill Feeds who sponsored the regional round in Northern Ireland. Mr McCloskey was particularly jubilant due to having sold an eleven month old suckled calf in the same week for £4400 at Swatragh market.
