Smiddiehill Toystory Ambrosia

Jenny Lou Marshall Toystory-ET *TV has proven to be a bull of the highest calibre, and - after his outstanding debut in November 2005 - he continues to provide both profitability and conformation with current proof figures of +2.54 Type Merit, + 546 kg milk, an udder composite of + 2.77 and an impressive “no faults” linear.

After several months when semen was in extremely limited supply, Toystory is back on’s price list at a highly competitive £32.

Toystory has worldwide demand and has been seen at the top of shows and sales across the world. At the world Dairy Expo 2007 in America, the second highest seller at the Expo’s World Classic sale was Toystory calf Ernest-Anthony Amaretto-ET who was acquired for $71,000. In the UK, Toystory daughter Smiddiehill Toystory Ambrosia sold for 27,000gns at a Smiddiehill sale in March 2008. This ET daughter of Jenny-Lou Marshall Toystory is bred from three successive generations of Ex dams.

Toystory’s dam is Jenny-Lou Patron Toyane VG-89 who boasts and impressive production of 365 days, topping records with 20,787 kg of milk, 793 kg fat and 553 kg protein. His maternal grand dam is Jenny-Lou Luke Takia VG-86 with top production records of 365 days, 14,238 kg of milk, 491 kg fat and 451 kg protein. Toyane exemplifies longevity, continuing to compete in the same free stall environment as the rest of the herd as an eight year old. Toyane is in a herd including Toystory’s full sister, Jenny-Lou Marshall 618, VG-88. Her production record is 16,741 kg of milk, 621 kg fat and 472 kg protein.

Steve De Wall of CRI Genetics in the US comments:

“Toystory consistently sires that awesome dairy strength. He sires the deep, open-ribbed type of cows. Daughters have really wide rear udders with strong creases and tremendous teat placement. Overall, feet and legs have been consistently good.

US breeder Mike DeGroot of the renowned Cross Country Dairy, Texico, New Mexico says his large group of Toystory daughters look impressive as well as consistent.

“When pulling Toystory daughters out of different pens to view them, you could easily pick them out from the rest of the group. Their udders are high and tight, and their feet and legs and excellent. From the back they are beautiful.

“Toystory daughters have bred back easily and I’m very excited to see them in their second lactation. Their udders certainly look like they can hold the milk.”
