Win a cattle crush at Beef Expo 2005
10/05/05

cattle crushBeef farmers completing the Sponsors' Trail at Beef Expo 2005 will have the opportunity of winning a brand new Premier Livestock Handling Mark II Cattle Crush worth £2180.

This is the star prize in a competition for farmers who visit the trade stands of the event's eight mainline sponsors and correctly answer eight simple questions relating to each of the sponsors.

Beef Expo takes place at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells, Powys, on Wednesday, June 8, and is expected to attract thousands of beef farmers from throughout the UK and Ireland.

The eight questions will be on a card which will be handed to all visitors on arrival along with the official guide to the event. Participants need to visit the stands of the eight sponsors, BOCM Pauls, Caltech, HCC/Meat Promotion Wales, Intervet, Keenan, St Merryn Meat, Superior and Yara, where they will find a clue for each answer.

Completed cards must be handed in to the National Beef Association stand by 3.00 p.m. and all correct entries will go into the draw for the star prize, which has been kindly donated by Premier Livestock Handling of Dumfriesshire.

“We are greatly indebted to our eight mainline sponsors who are giving us so much support for Beef Expo,” said Euan Emslie, who organises the event on behalf of the National Beef Association.

“We thought the competition would be a novel way of giving our sponsors further recognition and encouraging visitors to the event to call at their stands.”
