The first entry into the Carlisle sale ring for the reduction sale of the Browhaze fold from SK & SD Brown of Trowbridge, Wiltshire, attracted the leading price of the sale at 2,300gns.
The much admired senior heifer, Capleadh Proiseag 2nd of Browhaze a February 2001 born daughter of Cathach 1st of Drummygar drew the price of 2,300gns from Mr & Mrs D Fountain of Broomrigg, Lochmaben, Dumfriesshire.
Following at 1,800gns was a three year old heifer, An Ceitean 4th of Browhaze another daughter of Cathach 1st of Drummygar and out of a Hamish 1st of the Wellburn bred daughter, she sold to J Murdoch of Glenbuck Home Farm, Muirkirk, Ayrshire.
The sale drew much interest and bidding throughout met with a very satisfactory trade.
