Hallsford is a relatively small farm of 73 hectares or 180 acres situated between Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish border.

The farm was originally part of Netherby Estates, owned by the Grahams, one of the large border clans. The older buildings on the site date back to the 16th century.

The Hallsford herd of Beef Shorthorns was established in 1999 when Andrew and Helen Tomkins moved to Cumbria.

Hallsford have launched the first of many online products from The Farm.

The wool and some of the throws have been produced using the wool from their flock of Llanwenog sheep.
