Home And Away With Beef And Lamb BEEF and sheep producers in Gloucestershire and Hampshire came under the searching gaze of French journalist Pierrick Bourgault on a tour of livestock farms organised by the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX). Pierrick, who writes for the leading French meat trade magazines saw some excellent examples of English commercial flocks and herds during his two day visit. * * * * * * * * * * * * THE accent will be on English Quality beef and lamb when EBLEX shows off our home grown products at the Athens Food and Drink Exhibition this week (Feb 23 to 27). Special prominence at the show will be given to beef as plans are made for the reintroduction of exports across the Continent later in the year. * * * * * * * * * * * * TOP quality English beef and lamb for potential export came under the spotlight when a visit to three West Country processors was organised by EBLEX for major Portuguese commercial meat agent Diogo Macedo from CMI Lisbon. Mr Macedo spent two days with EBLEX staff and the processors seeing what products were available.
