Has UK Forestry Remained as a Good Investment?

Tilhill Forestry and John Clegg & Co give both the buyer’s and the seller’s perspective on the UK forestry property market in the jointly produced UK Forest Market Report 2017.

The full contents of the Report will be revealed when it launches on 22nd and 23rd November, in London and Edinburgh, to a diverse audience of woodland owners, investors, lawyers, land owners and other representatives of the UK forest industry.

Forestry investment experts from both companies will highlight the key issues contained within the UK Forest Market Report as well as providing comment on the latest IPD findings of returns in UK forestry of 10.7 per cent.

The Report will also continue to build on its review of woodlands and commercial broadleaf crops, an insight first launched in the 2016 edition.

Special guest speakers this year will include representatives from the Confederation of Forest Industries (Confor) and Legal & General Modular Homes.

The launch events will also encourage lively debates around questions such as:

  • How important is forestry to our economy?

  • What might happen to forestry grants and what is the current situation?

  • How can you make money from a mixed broadleaf crop?

  • What impact is Brexit having on British timber imports and exports?
