This night to remember for up to 200 guests will raise funds for ‘Bees for Development’, which helps people and their environment in developing nations. Not by sending money, but instead giving them the expertise to help themselves using local resources including native bees.

A patron of ‘Bees for Development’ veteran broadcaster Bill Turnbull is one of the UK’s best known beekeepers and is backing this drive by fellow enthusiasts to raise £10,000 for a very practical self help charity.

All four main beekeeping organisations on this island are supporting the event including the Institute of NI Beekeepers of which Bill is President.

An evening destined to be one of the best nights out this winter the Gala Dinner matches good food and great company with both local and ethnic entertainment.

All under the calm control of Master of Ceremonies Richard Wright a commentator of international repute on rural affairs.

Gavel in hand and freshly retired from 15 years of early starts on BBC ‘Breakfast’ TV Bill Turnbull will be taking bids for donated lots ranging from art works to weekends away in a price range to please all pockets.

Crumlin vet John Hill, who leads the organising team, affirms that the Gala Dinner and Charity Auction is a must for all be they farmers, beekeepers, gardeners or with an interest in our precious environment.

Dress code is ‘bee glam’ as the evening’s auctioneer starred in ‘Strictly Coming Dancing!’
