Fendt Wins Two Awards at the Fima in Spain

From 11 to 15 February, the most important agricultural equipment trade fair on the Iberian Peninsula was held in Saragossa/Spain.

With a new visitor record: more than 205,000 interested parties came to Fima to inform themselves directly about the innovations in agricultural engineering.

“The interest of the many trade fair visitors and the unbelievable crowds at the Fendt stand alone prove to us that despite the still difficult economic situation in Spain, the mood amongst farmers is surprisingly positive,” confirmed AGCO/Fendt Marketing Director, Roland Schmidt.
“After a difficult year 2012, tractor sales over 50hp climbed again to nearly 8,000 tractors in 2013. Fendt was able to increase its market share for high-horsepower tractors 180 hp and higher by 4 percent. That shows us that the tractor market has recovered and that we have an outstanding Spanish Fendt Sales and Marketing team.”

The 38th FIMA was opened with a tour of the trade fair with Felipe, Prince of Asturias. Together with the Spanish agricultural minister and the president of the region of Aragon, he personally viewed the “NOVEDAD TÉCNICA” (technical innovations) awards at the Fendt stand. The new flat-sealing hydraulic coupling system and the integrated tyre pressure regulation system VarioGrip received awards. Using the Varioterminal, operators can regulate the tyre pressure of the tractor with just a push of a button. The assistance system also informs drivers about too low or too high tyre pressure.
