The New SAME Range Celebrating 70 Years

SAME has renewed its commitment to supporting farmers in their everyday work to portray itself as a dynamic, efficient compatriot which is always attentive to needs and is ready to provide assistance at all times.

Continuous evolution is SAME's way to meet the challenges of today's market and to provide a flexible, high quality service, delivered with unmistakable Italian style.

Same Virtus

Last October, for its 70th anniversary, SAME decided to renew its image, starting with its logo which marks a return to the distinctive features of the brand's personality, bringing it up to date with the return of the tiger with all its powerful imagery. The aggressiveness of the claw in the foreground has gone, but there is renewed focus on the four eyes, intended originally to symbolize the thoroughness of the SAME approach to research and innovation.

Similarly, the design of the lettering marks a return to the lines of the past, underscoring the values that the brand has always represented - not a trip back in time but a solid view of the future without forgetting the history and vision of our work.

The first example of this new approach in product terms is the Virtus.

The SAME Virtus tractors have achieved the highest levels of reliability, quality and performance, guaranteed by their engine power, torque and reduced consumption, combining the most modern technology with the unmistakable style designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Engine hoods and side panels with lowered, aggressive profiles, a modern and elegantly designed cab, rounded fenders: these features all make this a sophisticated new tractor range, right down to the finest detail. Because the beauty of agriculture also lies in innovation, the result of the experience gained directly in the field.

The Tier 4i tractors with 4-cylinder Common Rail engines offer performance, reliability and low running costs. The rated power is obtained at 2200 rpm, and power delivery increases in line with the load up to the maximum 99 hp (Virtus 100), 110 hp (Virtus 110) and 122 hp (Virtus 120) at 2000 rpm.

In the specialist range, a segment in which this Italian brand has always held a leadership position, the new Frutteto3 range offers the widest choice on the market for tractors designed specifically for use in orchards and vineyards, able to effectively support the widest range of needs. Thanks to the availability of versions with cab or specific platforms for different wheel sizes, mechanical or electrohydraulic controls and a broad range of equipment packages, Frutteto3 tractors are always able to provide the ideal working configuration to maximize productivity in orchards and vineyards profitably and professionally.

Compact dimensions ensure maneuverability in the tightest spaces, and with a short wheelbase and an optimum steering angle of 60° for 4 wheel drive models (70° for 2 wheel drive), even the narrowest headlands can be negotiated with incomparable ease.

The heartbeat of the Frutteto3 range is provided by a series of next-generation engines developed and manufactured by SAME, which feature an innovative exhaust gas recirculation system ensuring compliance with Tier-3 emission standards.

The transmissions of the models Frutteto3, Frutteto3 S and V, Frutteto³ Classic, are the result of SAME's long-standing experience. Versatility and effectiveness are the two main features of Frutteto3 tractors, which have a transmission providing up to three ranges (with creeper) and five gear speeds with three shift-on-the-go ratios, compounding to give a total of no less than 45 forward and 45 reverse speeds. On models with POWERSHIFT transmission, the operator can select a marginally higher or lower gear, without using the clutch pedal, adjusting the ground speed to suit the prevailing conditions.

For a more traditional driving style, there is a 30+15 mechanical transmission, which is easy to use and no less functional. The new cabs in the Frutteto3 range, developed specifically by SAME for this power segment, represent the best the market has to offer today in comfort, ergonomics and design.

The "all-glass" cab mounted on four pillars assures perfect all-round visibility. The operator position and all the controls are ergonomically designed, with intuitive colour coded functions. The cab roof also has the same streamlined styling as the engine hood, with no sharp edges, so that it can slip easily between hanging branches without damaging fruit and foliage.
