Ulster Bank Backs NBA Beef NI 2012

The Ulster Bank is again backing beef farmers running the National Beef Association Beef NI 2012 event at Dungannon Farmers’ Mart, BT70 1NJ on Tues, March 6.

National Beef Association members Stephen Heenan, centre, and Thomas Moorhead were delighted to learn from Ann Calwell that the Ulster Bank is a mainline sponsor of Beef NI 2012 at Dungannon Farmers’ Mart on Tues, March 6. “The Ulster Bank is keen to do business with even more farm families so our agricultural banking team look forward to meeting existing and potential clients at NBA Beef NI 2012. Our aim in the Ulster Bank is to do business with farmers to help them grow their family businesses.”

Joanne Pugh, assistant director NBA, noted that the Ulster Bank was also a mainline sponsor at the same event two years ago.

“The NBA Beef NI event at Dungannon is run by beef farmers for beef farmers and is growing in size as demand for trade stand space from across the redmeat sector has already far exceeded that seen at the 2010 event.

“As already announced at least 16 pedigree breeds will be on display along with an impressive selection of commercial stock. An intriguing range of topical seminars and practical demonstrations of interest to all beef producers has also been arranged with several of the speakers from outside Ulster.

“However every agricultural event must also have a social side so a beef industry dinner is being held the previous evening with renowned agricultural journalist and raconteur Ken Fletcher from ‘The Scottish Farmer’ as keynote speaker.

“This prestigious Monday evening beef industry dinner in the Tullylagan House Hotel, Cookstown costs £30 per ticket including VAT.”

Commenting on this continuing financial support for NBA Beef NI 2012 in Dungannon Cormac McKervey, Ulster Bank agricultural manager explained that, “The enthusiasm of NBA members at grass roots level here in NI has greatly impressed the agricultural team in the Ulster Bank. As a bank growing market share in the agricultural sector we are delighted to back an event of real value to all aiming to put beef from NI onto dinner plates at a profit!”

Other mainline sponsors to date include Caltech, the Donnelly Group and Dungannon Farmers’ Mart.

Tickets for the pre show industry dinner and details of remaining trade stand space are available from NBA Beef 2012 organiser Euan Emslie, tel: 01430 441870, Mobile:07718 908523. E-mail:
