Outstanding Friesian Sire Now Available Sexed
2011-03-30

Skyhigh Lord, the outstanding British Friesian sire from Cogent Breeding is now available sexed.

Skyhigh Lord

From a record breaking production family, Skyhigh Lord’s pedigree is full of longevity. Backed by five generations that average seven lactations, between them they have equated 272 tonnes of milk with tremendous components.

Given the noted maternal production giants in his bloodline, Lord’s dam – Blackisle Laura 19 BFE92(2), averaged 8,818kgs at 4.37%F and 3.41%P in five lactations. His Gdam, Blackisle Laura 9 BFV85, completed six lactations and 3.dam completed 10 lactations.

Sired by Blackisle Glen Albyn BFE, one of the most complete all-round Friesian sires, he inherits not only high components but type, health and fitness traits in abundance.

Cogent’s Sire Analyst, Simon Moseley, says: “As a very complete bull, Lord is well suited for the pedigree Friesian or for crossing with Holstein. High type and production can be expected and he already has two BFE half sisters with excellent milk records.”

As the pioneers of sexed semen technology, Cogent offer the most robust and successful sexed product on the market. Cogent sexed semen offers a minimum 90% female semen per straw – a very effective management tool to boost dairy farmers’ profits.

To take advantage of this exciting young bull, contact your local Cogent Breeding Advisor, or call FREEPHONE: 0800 7837258.
