According to the most recent statistics of the German Kraftfahrtbundesamt (KBA - Federal Vehicle Authority), and for the 11th consecutive year, John Deere continues to lead the German tractor market.
Following a market decline of 3% in 2010 to 28,587 units compared to 2009, John Deere actually increased its tractor market share by 0.4% to 19.7%, increasing the gap to the next strongest competitor by 1.1% to 3.2%.
“The 2010 tractor registrations in Germany reflect that the domestic agricultural machinery market has not yet fully recovered from the financial crisis,” noted Helmut Korthoeber, manager of the German John Deere branch based in Bruchsal.
“The increased demand for John Deere tractors confirms our overall strategy to continuously expand our range of products and services together with our excellent dealer network.”
John Deere is the largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment in Germany and employs almost 6000 people in six locations.
