In the top 1% of breed for all growth and performance traits, his semen is being offered by Cogent Breeding Ltd for only £4 a straw.

Ecstasy, the EBV giant, delivers in all areas, hitting the top 1% for 200, 400, 600 day weights, carcase weight, rib fat, BBB carcase yield index and BBB pedigree breeding index.

Suited to both the commercial and pedigree markets, the class act has a BBB carcase yield index of +30, colossal compared to breed average of +10. He also has a BBB pedigree breeding index of +22, which, again, is extremely impressive compared to the +6 breed average.

Bred by renowned Blue breeder Graham Brindley, Ecstasy unsurprisingly has an exceptional pedigree on both sides. His immediate maternal line features Bringlee Vandy and Bringlee Sandy, cows who have made an extremely big impact on the beef industry worldwide. His Belgian sire, Sjaka Zoeloe Van Zwaanhof, is a bull who guarantees to transmit conformation and fleshing ability.

As a fine example of the British Blue he carries an impressive loin full of length and width, complimented by outstanding breed character and second thigh.

Light, blue roan calves can be expected, with exceptional growth and breed type.

Cogent’s Beef Specialist, Boomer Birch, who was involved in the acquisition of the bull, said: ‘Ecstasy offers everything; conformation, performance and depth of pedigree. He suits all requirements and progeny will out-class herdmates.’
