This annual event, organised by the National Beef Association and held at a different venue each year, is now firmly established as the major technical event for the UK beef industry and attracts thousands of beef producers from all over the country and overseas.

The 2009 event will follow the successful format developed over recent years and will include an extensive trade stand area, beef breed demonstrations, educational and advisory exhibits, practical demonstrations of livestock machinery and a comprehensive seminar programme.

On the day before Beef Expo, visitors will have the opportunity of viewing two or three Marches beef farms, followed by a pre-event conference and dinner.

“The Three Counties Showground is an ideal venue for the event with excellent facilities and easy access off the M5 motorway. A local organising committee will be appointed shortly by the National Beef Association who will be looking for innovative new ideas to make Beef Expo even more relevant and worthwhile for beef producers at a time of constant change in the industry,” said event organiser, Euan Emslie.

Nick Vincent, Chief Executive of the Three Counties Agricultural Society, said: “We are delighted to be hosting the National Beef Event in 2009, which directly fits with our objectives to promote the interest and improvement of agriculture, horticulture and livestock breeding.”
